MAYBELLINE HOW TO: DAYWEAR MAKEUP

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

DEWY SKIN + BABY LIPS

This natural makeup look puts your dewy-looking skin in the spotlight. Flaunt your mischievous self and keep your fave tool close—Baby Lips Moisturizing Balm. See below for a detailed step-by-step to get the look. I wanted to share this tutorial because it reminds me of a makeover I saw in 90s Seventeen Magazine done by Maybelline products. Its a very fresh look.

DARE TO GO NUDE

Using a thick and fluffy eye shadow brush, sweep a sheer layer of the rose gold shade from the Blushed Nudes Palette onto your eyelids. Then, blend it in the direction of your brows for eyes that elicit, “Wow”.

UNLEASH THE LASH

Grab your Great Lash Washable Mascara and sweep a layer from the root of your lashes to the tip. Then, flaunt this full-lash look.

SCULPTED CHEEKS

Apply Facestudio Master Strobing Stick to highlight your cheeks, then blend in with a face brush for a diffused effect and killer cheekbones.

SOFT, PINK LIPS

Complete the look with lips that are as fresh as your mood. Apply a generous amount of Baby Lips Moisturizing Balm ‘Quenched’ to reveal a soft, well-hydrated pout.

I have The Blushed Nudes Palette and it is perfect for summer. I use it often for different looks. What I like about Maybelline is because the brand is affordable and a well known brand.

ANINE BING X GINA TRICOT SS2018 COLLECTION

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I had my eye on LA based Scandi designer Anine Bing for a long time as its very popular recently what fashion comes from LA is a hot tea. When I first read about collab with Gina Tricot I was sold out. I am a sucker of designer/ celeb collabs with high street brands since Kate Moss for Top Shop Collection in 2000s. I remember I walked into a Top Shop store in Bagdat Street and I remember buying that famous floral green dress and skinny jeans from the collection. It was very expensive and I bought what I could afford that time. This time I bought what I could afford too. I bought T-shirts, denim skirt and khaki overshirt. I really liked khaki overshirt but I skipped to buy it in the first day of release. They only had size Medium and it looked big on me. Then today as second day I went there and all size Mediums were sold out and I tried size XS as it fitted with t-shirt.

^^ Aarhus city all captured by me

I wanted to buy a pair of jeans from the collection ( as I live in jeans all year long) and they had knees ripped jeans and honestly the knee ripped jeans never look good on me so I skipped. I wanted the black jeans with no rip- not distressed but that model was not in Aarhus store. Thats weird. I checked everywhere in first day release in the morning. also I checked the store in 2nd day but no. So I could not buy any jeans from the collection.

I can not wait to wear them! :D I'm so happy with my LE haul :)

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SOFT GLAM PALETTE HAUL

The best haul from newly opened Sephora was: Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette. Its perfect with golden, browns and pink shades. I would probably recommend it for daily day glam wear but you can also create artistic night looks. People mostly compare it with Modern Renaissance palette. Honestly I never felt like buying Modern Renaissance Palette cause it is too fushia for me. I like natural makeup for my everyday looks and I can not go super artistry for daily basic life. Its just where I live is very laid back.

I bought this palette from newly opened Sephora Ryesgade.I can not wait to go back there again.

Featuring fourteen essential shades, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eye Shadow Palette is the perfect collection of easy-to-blend, full pigment shadows. With a long lasting formula, this palette is complete with bronze metallics and iridescent finishes ideal for a nighttime look and neutral mattes for daytime.

URBAN DECAY NAKED HEAT PALETTE REVIEW

I really like Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes because they are more affordable and easy to use. I bought this one not from counter but from Copenhagen Airport as it is my favorite place to buy cosmetics. This palette has amazing colors to use for Spring Summer 2018. I would prefer to use it when I am more tanned as it would work better that way.

The shades I use almost every day to create an outstanding daywear look: scorched, cayenne, ounce, chaser, lumbre and ember.

Urban Decay’s Naked Heat features all-new, amber-hued neutrals—including warm browns, burnt oranges, and rich siennas. The most shade-driven Naked palette Urban Decay has ever created, this palette takes Naked the next level. From a super-smooth red-brown matte and a glimmering copper to a deep, shifty bronze, this palette has everything you need to create sultry daytime looks, intensely smoky nighttime looks, and everything in between.

The ultra-compact Naked Petite Heat was made for travel and fits in your smallest purse. But don’t let its petite exterior fool you—it contains full-size pans of Urban Decay’s legendary eyeshadow and a mirror. Both palettes can be used either together or individually to create an infinite range of eye looks.

Each shade features Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™, a proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, ultimate staying power, and blendability. With shades like these, you’ll want to blend the perfect sunset eye, and this formula makes it so easy to transition shades like a makeup pro.

Whether you’re creating looks for the office, out on the town, or in-flight, Naked Heat has everything you need, including a full-size mirror and a double-ended brush. The blending brush end is perfect for seamless blending, while the detailed crease brush side helps you to get a precise application in the crease.

Ounce (ivory shimmer)
Chaser (light nude matte)
Sauced (soft terra-cotta matte)
Low Blow (brown matte)
Lumbre (copper shimmer w/gold pearl shift)
He Devil (burnt red matte)
Dirty Talk (metallic burnt red)
Scorched (metallic deep red w/gold micro-shimmer)
Cayenne (deep terra-cotta matte)
En Fuego (burgundy matte)
Ashes (deep reddish-brown matte)
Ember (deep metallic copper-burgundy)

MY SPRING 2018 ZARA HAUL

I am obsessed with Zara and I had to buy some trends from an affordable high street retailer. We do not have Zara in Aarhus so I did a long research to buy online. I am so happy to do online shoppıng but I'd also rather go to Copenhagen for shopping.

I was really into buying small cat eye inspired sunglasses like a dupe of Le Specs. Zara did not have brown and black pairs avaible so I bought red pair. I did like it but somehow it looks like the ones I used to have when I was a child- like plastic frames. It feels childish. I did not like the quality and it looks weird in winter so I might just use it on the beach. Maybe not in the city. Don't know. It was a disappointment of buying online without trying.

I also bought colorful all over print t-shirts as basics. They are so cool. I bought size S but they are loose fit.

I also bought black denim mini skirt and I like it. It is shorter than I thought but its ok for summer vacays.

I bought red slogan print over pink t-shirt. It is very trendy nowadays. I can not wait to wear them.

BUMBLE AND BUMBLE - ALL STYLE- BLOW DRY REVIEW

This is the best hair product for combination/oily hair types. I wish I had found it long before like in my teens. But this is a USA based brand which came so late to Europe and Turkiye.

It helps your hair not look oily like after you blow dry. I even used it without smoothing my hair with heat work hair straightener. This is the best. But it does not help with fizzy hair. My hair gets so fizzy after I use hair straigtener maybe I need some other finishing product.

My hair does not get oily for a couple of days after using this product. It is a miracle. Just if I go to gym it does not work anymore so I wash it.

Shortly, it is my number one must have hair product in life and I would definitely buy again.

* I recommend it to people with oily hair.

MAKEUP- SKINCARE vs CELEBRITY- MODEL- INFLUENCER SAY THEY USE THIS AND THAT

We all love to read which celebrity or model uses which makeup or skincare product but honestly I do not believe ad type interviews; that they give product names they get paid millions and be the face of some company.

I don't buy any advice from a celebrity / model who's plugging the brand she's endorsing - which, come to think of it, any celebrity / model /(nowadays influencer) with a million-dollar-beauty contract does.

I like to read independent interviews or independent personal sayings like she is not a face of one brand and the brands she uses are random or pharmacy or general products known well.

I love reading beauty sections of magazines especially when they do what is in her makeup bag kinda content. I really like to see what is in real makeup artists' bags with tons of inspiration. I also like to ask MUA at counters like MAC so they give out their honest personal picks or what sell most.
