I am in love with the old city. Its so inspiring.I got so confused with Czech currency but its ok.Here are my photos from my time in Prague...Its a very romantic city by the way.I am obsessed with the view and architecture of the old city. Also John Lennon wall is ART.- which started everything by students writing the lyrics of John Lennon's Freedom song and they got arrested.Lennon was a symbol of peace and a hero to the pacifist youth of Central and Eastern Europe during the totalitarian era. Before 1989 there was a ban on western pop music, especially songs by Lennon, which praised freedom. After Lennon’s death his portrait was painted on the wall, defying the authorities. From that moment the wall became a symbol of peace and freedom. There are also claims that the wall helped inspire the non-violent Velvet Revolution that led to the fall of Communism in the former Czechoslovakia. The wall holds messages of peace, freedom and hope. People started writing messages in graffiti when the nation was still under communist rule. The wall was repainted several times by the authorities but this didn’t stop the graffiti reappearing.By doing this, those young activists risked prison for what authorities called “subversive activities against the state”.But the threat of prison couldn’t keep people from slipping there at night to scrawl graffiti first in the form of Beatles lyrics and odes to Lennon, then they came to paint their own feelings and dreams on the wall.
The Communist police tried repeatedly to whitewash over the portrait and messages of peace but they could never manage to keep the wall clean. On the second day it was again full of poems and flowers with paintings of Lennon. Even the installation of surveillance cameras and the posting of an overnight guard couldn’t stop the opinions from being expressed.
btw guess what happened while we were strolling down the streets of Prague? A street style photographer captured me for Czech Originals Street style blog/website.I was flattered. So I did Prague Street style babes.

and also, I loved astronomical clock. Here info via wikipedia:
The oldest part of the Orloj, the mechanical clock and astronomical dial, dates back to 1410 when it was made by clockmaker Mikuláš of Kadaň and Jan Šindel, the latter a professor of mathematics and astronomy at Charles University.
Later, presumably around 1490, the calendar dial was added and clock facade decorated with gothic sculptures.
Formerly, it was believed that the Orloj was constructed in 1490 by clockmaster Jan Růže (also called Hanuš); this is now known to be a historical mistake. A legend, recounted by Alois Jirásek, has it that the clockmaker Hanuš was blinded on the order of the Prague Councillors so that he could not repeat his work; in turn, he broke down the clock, and no one was able to repair it for the next hundred years.
According to local legend the city will suffer if the clock is neglected and its good operation is placed in jeopardy.
